ENKA's VFY has many qualities that make it ideal for a range of fashion, textile lining and technical enduses. Its silk-like character allows for fashion weaving, knitting and makes it an ideal mixing partner in combination with other fibre materials. Thanks to the hygroscopic properties of viscose and low electrostatic charging, the lining provides temperature-regulation and will not "cling, climb or crawl" when being worn. The consistency and skin-friendliness of Enka’s yarn, along with chemical and thermal properties such as the binding properties of the long-chained viscose molecules, allow for use of ENKA® Viscose as a precursor yarn for the making of carbon fibres, as composite, medical wound tissues, technical velvet etc. The ENKA product range includes endless viscose filament yarns with different yarn fineness in the below range from 20 den to 600 den, in both bright and deep dull lustres, and in the option of cakes or cones.
